Latest summary
Reviewed CZ cycle-1 population bundle and wrote reviewer handoff at /home/synthestat/workspace/manager_handoffs/reviewer/2026-05-19_163440Z_CZ_population_review_cycle1.md. Verdict NEEDS_MORE_SOURCES: bundle is structurally reviewable and HARD/FIRM constraints pass, but it is only a 2-zone/8-person seeded slice with failed live CZSO retrieval, unavailable hidden/work-school layers, seeded building/dwelling grounding, and major modelled/comparable-country distribution dependence. Created follow-up source and rerun cards t_6869427a, t_5393f669, and t_d0d7c4c0.
Body
Review the CZ cycle-1 population synthesis review bundle produced by the parent synth-modeler task.
Country: CZ
Project root: /home/synthestat
Release mode: internal research review
Review contract: /home/synthestat/docs/contracts/population_review_bundle.md
Review scope:
- Confirm the bundle is structurally reviewable: required files exist under /home/synthestat/output/runs/CZ/<run_id>/ or allowed unavailable.json files explain missing layers.
- Validate non-negotiables: HARD constraints exact; FIRM/SOFT residuals within declared tolerances or explicitly relaxed; no hidden-population overlay silently rewrites de jure constraints; every modelled estimate has uncertainty bounds; provenance fields are present enough for internal review.
- Check population realism relative to available evidence: household composition, persons-in-households, household-to-dwelling/building assignment, family composition/parent-child age gaps, school/work assignment, and hidden-population overlays.
- Verify geography quality tiers and degraded zones are explicit, especially for fine geography and sparse occupation/industry/assignment surfaces.
- Check that unavailable layers are honestly marked rather than replaced by fake precision.
Output requirements:
- Write a concise review handoff under /home/synthestat/workspace/manager_handoffs/reviewer/.
- Include exactly one routing verdict in machine-readable metadata and prose:
PASS
NEEDS_MODEL_FIX
NEEDS_MORE_SOURCES
BLOCKED_INVALID_OUTPUT
EVIDENCE_EXHAUSTED_HUMAN_REVIEW
MODEL_IMPROVEMENT_EXHAUSTED_HUMAN_REVIEW
- For NEEDS_MODEL_FIX: name the concrete model/output defects and expected fix/rerun scope.
- For NEEDS_MORE_SOURCES: name specific source families/variables/geographies that must be researched and whether they are marginals, distributions, building/dwelling, hidden-population, or assignment evidence.
- For BLOCKED_INVALID_OUTPUT: list the missing/invalid contract elements.
- For exhausted-human-review verdicts: explain why further automated work is irresponsible without a human scope/data decision.
Definition of done:
- Reviewer verdict is explicit and singular.
- Bundle path/run_id reviewed are stated.
- Findings distinguish blocker vs warning vs accepted limitation.
- No new modelling/research/downloading is performed by the reviewer; this is validation and routing evidence only.
